Making our way up to Central Park takes twice as long as it should because you can’t help but try and take in the atmosphere of the bustling Times Square. That is why the tranquillity that hits you on entering Central Park comes as such a surprise. New Yorkers go from one of the busiest places I have ever experienced to the most peaceful and it hardly feels real. I refuse to leave New York without seeing the ice rink in Central Park; anyone who has ever seen ‘Serendipity’ will understand why.
